美国总统川普13日在白宫接受一名印度记者提问时，抱怨对方“口音太重”、“我一个字也听不懂”，直接打断对方、跳过提问，影片在网络上疯传，引发挞伐，不过也有许多川粉认为他很诚实。
综合新德里电视台（NDTV）、印度斯坦时报（Hindustan Times）等报导，川普13日在白宫接待来访的印度总理莫迪（Narendra Modi），双方举行共同记者会，记者会上川普接受一名印度记者提问，该名记者用英文表示，印度人会“欢迎”美国将2008年协助恐怖分子犯下孟买连环恐攻事件的巴基斯坦裔加拿大人拉纳（Tahawwur Hussain Rana）引渡至印度，这起恐攻事件酿成166人死亡、数百人受伤。

不过该名记者话才说到一半就遭川普打断：“你要讲大声一点。”

这名记者随即又重复一次提问，不过马上又遭川普打断：“他说的话我一个字也听不懂，是口音问题，对我来说有点难。”
川普接着跳过这名印度记者，转而接受下一名记者提问。
川普抱怨印度记者口音的情形受到印度媒体报导，网络上也疯传这段影片，引发印度网友炮轰川普“不放弃任何羞辱印度的机会”、“蔑视”印度，也有印度民众表示，川普借由侮辱印度记者来逃避提问。

不过许多美国人及川粉认为川普讲话虽然残忍但“很诚实”，有人回应“工作上经常有这种感觉”，或是申请“技术支援”时，也都有同样感受。
事实上这并非川普头一次公开抱怨外国记者口音，2月初以色列总理尼坦雅胡（Benjamin Netanyahu）访问白宫、与川普召开记者会时，川普也打断一名阿富汗记者有关塔利班的提问，“你的声音很美妙、口音很美，唯一的问题是，我听不懂你说的任何字”。
